High Capacity 3.4 Amp Hour lightweight 14.8v Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Battery. This 3.4 Amp/Hour battery comes with a single DC output connector housed in a tough Codura Bag. The battery comes with two mounting straps to easily fit anywhere on yoru bike, including the handlebars, or it can be popped in your backpack to power Helmet mounted lights.
Lumicycle’s Enduro 3.4Ah battery offers outstanding performance in an incredibly small form factor. Housed in extremely durable lightweight Codura bag
Carbon Enduro 3.4Ah Li-Ion batteries are likely to replace our original bag battery as the most popular option to power all of our light systems. The two straps enable mounting anywhere on the bike, including handlebars, or it can be popped into your jacket or backpack to power helmet lights The battery is supplied with a single output DC lead, which can be added to with our range of Y connectors and extension leads to suit your light system requirement.
Note
The table below shows an estimated run time in each mode using the Enduro 3.4Ah battery of either type (Bag or Carbon), calculated to 90% battery use. This is assuming using the light in a single continuous mode, and ignored external factors such as ambient temperature that can impact run time. When the light system detects the battery charge state is starting to run out, it enters into a “management” mode. This then attempts to extend the remaining 10% of battery capacity left, by automatically reducing the light output to a lower level, and preventing higher power operation. When the battery reaches 5% capacity (95% flat), the light will switch to the lowest flash setting. This feature is designed to extend the burn time for as long as possible to “get you home”.
The Management feature typically increases run times by around 30-60 minutes depending on light type. But of course when in this mode light output is reduced.
Note also that these run time estimates do not cover the maximum Smart boost output that the light can be switched into for short bursts, continued use of smart boost will reduce the run time estimate of course as it is generating more light and therefore drawing more power from the battery.
If you have a requirement for specific runtimes please contact us to discuss as we offer special versions of software for extreme run times for Ultra Endurance and Audax riding.
